The Pioneer Valley, from the Connecticut border to
the southern edge of Vermont, features delightful country inns, historic hotels and
quaint B&B's, as well as many national chain hotels and motels.
Because the Festival coincides
with a popular holiday weekend and some area college graduations, latecomers may need to
look a bit further than the immediate Northampton/Hadley/Amherst area.
Within a pleasant 15 to 30 minute drive in Massachusetts, Holyoke, Chicopee,
West Springfield, Springfield and Greenfield have rooms available, or try Enfield or Suffield in Connecticut.
Just a few minutes further south is Bradley Airport in Windsor Locks, CT with lots
of hotel rooms; go west to the Berkshires (Stockbridge, Lenox, Pittsfield, etc.);
or head north 40 minutes to Brattleboro, VT.
As always, it is suggested that you make your travel arrangements early!
