Girls of Summer Series

These new oils on panels, currently ranging in size from 11" x 14" to 42" x 49", chronicle the psychology of the cusp of adolescence. The landscape is easily recognizable as southeastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod and the Islands, the place where the artist spent much of her own childhood and adolescence. Coming back to oils after ten years of working exclusively in pastel, Post has immersed herself in the seductive brushwork of oil-laden paint.
