A self-taught jeweler with a background in the arts, Rona Fisher earned a BFA in painting
from the Philadelphia College of Art (now the University of the Arts) in 1980. She discovered crafts
as a valid artistic medium while living in San Francisco in the early 1980s. In 1983 she moved to
Munich, Germany, where she became enamored of goldsmithing, reached an artistic turning point, and
began to design and make jewelry.
Upon her return to the States in 1991, Rona opened her studio, where she designs and makes a collection of jewelry
that has a timeless wearability. Rona's techniques include casting, hand-fabrication,
and computer-aided design. Her line consists of pieces in mixed metals, all gold, and includes
rings, bracelets, necklaces, pendants, and earrings - with and without gemstones.
Rona also does one-of-a-kind pieces and custom work.
